Blindspott was a popular nu-metal/alternative metal band from Waitakere, Auckland, New Zealand. They were formed in 1997 and consist of Damian Alexander (vocals), Shelton Woolright (drums), Marcus Powell (guitar), Dave McDermott (bass)and Brandon Reihana (guitar).
Blindspott had a break through single with ‘Nil By Mouth’ in 2002 which gained major airplay on TV and radio alike. Other hits released during 2002-2003 were ‘Room to Breathe’, ‘Phlex’, ‘Blank’, ‘S.U.I.T’ and ‘Lit Up’. Their self titled debut album (2002) reached number 1 in its first week of release in New Zealand and they have had another top 10 single- Phlex. / Last.Fm
