The band's name apparently originates from the lead singer once having a haircut as a child that was similar to that of Playmobil figures.In 2002, they released their new album in 2 versions; one with French lyrics plus a bonus track named "Casino" (titled Episode 2: Medicine Cake) and the other with the same songs (minus "Casino") in English lyrics (titled Doctor Tank's Medicine Cake).In 2008, the song "New Wave" from Medicine Cake was released as a downloadable track for the game Rock Band.Their influences range from Rage Against The Machine to bands like Korn and Primus.
