The band formed in 1998 and recorded a six-track demo that attracted the attention of major labels. After a standout performance at the famous CBGB in Manhattan, New York the band signed with Elektra Records. They hit big with their debut album, Laced, in 1999. The album featured a guest appearance by Cypress Hill rapper B-Real.
